A Jordanian-Yemeni business meeting next September

The Amman Chamber of Commerce announced the discussion of organizing the activities of the joint Jordanian-Yemeni business forum, in coordination with the Yemeni embassy in Amman, next September, in the presence of about 250 Yemeni investors representing various sectors residing in Arab and foreign countries.
According to a statement issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce, it was agreed with the Yemeni ambassador in Amman to hold a consultative meeting between the Jordanian commercial sector and Yemeni investors residing in Jordan next August to discuss any obstacles or challenges facing Yemeni investors in the Kingdom.
The two sides discussed the issue of forming a Jordanian-Yemeni business council, with the aim of strengthening cooperation relations between the business communities in the two countries, enhancing economic, trade and investment cooperation, and developing joint work in a way that serves and expands the horizons of economic relations.
The Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, stressed during his meeting today with the Yemeni ambassador to the Kingdom, Dr. Jalal Faqeera, in the presence of a number of members of the Chamber’s board of directors and the Yemeni commercial attache, Ramzi Al-Jaafari, the importance of developing economic and commercial relations between the two brotherly countries and improving the level of their trade numbers, which are still simple. Building investment partnerships.
The two parties stressed that the distinguished relations between the two countries at all levels necessitate the need to develop economic and trade relations to a level that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and their deep historical ties, stressing the need to exploit the available opportunities to move them to higher levels.
For his part, the Yemeni Ambassador, Dr. Jalal Faqeera, said that the Yemeni business community is interested in strengthening and revitalizing its trade and investment relations with Jordan and establishing commercial partnerships in many economic sectors.
He stressed that the Yemeni-Jordanian relations are solid and historical and are witnessing development every day, praising the good treatment that the Yemeni brothers receive in Jordan.
He explained that the embassy has a preliminary vision about the investment environment law and wants to reactivate and revitalize trade exchange between the two countries and urges Yemeni business owners to come to invest in Jordan because of its strategic importance and distinguished position at the regional and international levels.
The ambassador drew attention to the importance of reviewing some of the procedural aspects facing Yemeni investors, in coordination between the embassy, the Chamber and the concerned official authorities.
He also called on the Jordanian private sector to explore investment opportunities in Yemen, which is a large and wide market for agricultural products, animal production and fish wealth.
For their part, members of the Chamber's Board of Directors affirmed that the Kingdom has a good investment climate and enjoys political stability and close relations with neighboring countries and the international community.
They also pointed out the existence of modern legislation and laws that attract investment and provide good infrastructure such as transport and communication networks, public services, a modern and developed financial and banking system, and qualified human resources.
