ACC exports increase by 58.8% in 8 months
The Amman Chamber of Commerce’s exports of goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries increased during the past eight months of the current year 2023 by 58.8 percent, compared to the same period of last year 2022.
According to statistical data from the Chamber obtained by the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), the Chamber’s exports during the past eight months amounted to about 927 million dinars, compared to about 584 million dinars for the same period last year. The increase in exports was accompanied by an increase in the number of certificates of origin issued by Amman Trade during this period. By 4.5 percent, reaching 24,503 certificates, compared to 23,451 certificates during the same period last year.
According to statistical data, certificates of origin issued by the Chamber went to many countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with 6,094 certificates, followed by the UAE 2,757, Iraq 1,375, Egypt 711, and Switzerland 14 certificates.
Statistical data issued by the Chamber on a monthly basis showed that exports in terms of value went to many countries, led by Iraq with a value of about 366 million dinars, then the UAE with a value of about 148 million dinars, Switzerland with a value of 74 million dinars, Saudi Arabia with a value of about 72 million dinars, and Egypt with a value of about 66 million dinars. Million dinars.
During the comparison period, the Chamber’s exports were distributed among foreign products (re-exports) with a value of about 387 million dinars, then agricultural products with a value of 118 million dinars, industrial products with a value of about 112 million dinars, and Arab products with a value of about 102 million dinars, while the rest of the exports went to other products.
It is noteworthy that the Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for agricultural and animal products, raw Jordanian natural resources, foreign goods that are re-exported, and foreign goods purchased from the local market, under specific and specific conditions.
The Chamber also issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products as requested by the exporter, based on the original factory invoice certified by a Chamber of Industry and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by a Chamber of Industry proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
