1.143 billion dinars in ACC exports in 10 months

The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce during the past ten months of this year for exporting goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries increased by 54.3 percent, compared to the same period in 2022.

According to statistical data from the Chamber obtained by the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), the value of certificates of origin issued by Amman Chamber of Commerce during the past ten months of the current year amounted to 1.143 billion dinars, compared to 741 million dinars, for the same period last year.

According to the data, the number of certificates of origin issued by the Chamber during the past ten months of the current year reached 30,600 certificates, compared to 30,514 certificates for the same period last year, an increase of 0.3 percent.

The certificates of origin issued by the Chamber during the past ten months of this year went to many countries, led by Saudi Arabia with 7,827 certificates, followed by the United Arab Emirates 3,347, Iraq 1,812, Egypt 923, then Switzerland with 16 certificates.

Exports were distributed to Iraq at a value of 482 million dinars, the United Arab Emirates at about 161 million dinars, Saudi Arabia at 90 million dinars, Egypt at about 80 million dinars, then Switzerland at a value of 73 million dinars.

According to statistical data, exports of foreign products (re-exports) amounted to 487 million dinars, industrial 153 million dinars, agricultural 148 million dinars, then Arabic with a value of 135 million dinars and the rest for other products.

It is noteworthy that the Chamber issues certificates of origin for agricultural and animal products and raw Jordanian natural resources, for foreign goods that are re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market, under specific conditions.

Certificates of origin are also issued for Jordanian industrial products according to the exporter’s request, based on the original factory invoice certified by a chamber of industry and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by a chamber of industry proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
